No Fluff.

Yep, that's right. No fluff- just crunchy peanut butter and strawberry preserves kinda girl.

You can call me ms_y. I'm Korean, first generation American that was born and raised in the deep south. Yes, it caused some major identity issues and confusion when I was growing up but I turned out to be who I am today because of it. Right? I've been living in Georgia since 2003 in my shitty attempts to get a BA in art. I'm an ex-fashion major and ex- jewelry major that finally found my niche in art history. All my time wasn't spent on school... I've been here and there, in and out, you know? I'll explain those missing years in a later entry. Currently, I live with my cat Bunni (BTW, she's a licensed ninja and isn't afraid to attack on demand) and my many collected items of curiosities. I like all the good things in life like everyone else; except I'd like to think that my tastes are a bit more particular. Here are some of my quirks.

Things I enjoy:
  • Good eats. I love food and food loves me back. I cannot express how much I enjoy cooking. I'm a true foodie like many of you out there on the web. Nom-noming is the best thing in the world besides sex.
  • Beer. It's the "AHHH!" to the end of my day.
  • Good beats. I absolutely love good music. I'm not the 'my music is better than yours' person. I like all types of music but lately I've been stuck in minimal techno and acoustic guitar.
  • Poetry and Def Poetry. Yes, I try to act tough but this is my weak side. I'm a die-hard fan of Plath, Sexton, Dickinson, Neruda, Cummings, Parker, anyone from the Beat Generation and Harlem Renaissance, Desnos, Halvorsen... this list can go on forever but you catch my drift. I love to listen to the words that flow from Shane Koyczan and Anis Mojgani.
  • Contemporary Arts. I absolutely love it. I can't list all my favorites but I will mention that Egon Schiele's Erotic Sketches are amazing.
  • Traveling. One of my passions is to pack my bags and go to different countries. My next destination is Central and Eastern Europe.
  • Switzerland. I went the first time in 2006 and it captured my heart. I left thinking to myself, "I'm going to live here one day". Who would have thought that three years later I would meet the love of my life that happens to reside there?
  • Mr. S.H. He is the man who has captured my entire being. I love him with everything I am and will become.
Things I despise:
  • Rednecks. Not all rednecks but Dixie Flag toting rednecks. You know what I'm talking about... I have no problems with having pride from being from the South. But seriously, are you really going put that Dixie Flag up everywhere? The only place for that flag is in history texts, museums, and any other items of educational or commemorative purpose. When I see it on trucks, clothing, etc., it makes me puke in my mouth a little. To each their own... yea, look stupid.
  • Ignorance. It's not bliss... educate yourselves before conforming to any ideas. Just because they do it or believe it in doesn't mean you have to as well.
  • Terror alert warnings. Yellow, orange, red... WHAT?!?!! Is this suppose to change anything? Do you want me to stop what I'm doing and run to the nearest bomb shelter? Obviously not, life goes on.
  • Grocery stores on the weekend. It's like trying to find your way through the jungle. Where I live it's like going to the circus... but better.
  • Asian parents mentality. I will never understand it and probably never will. I stopped trying ten years ago.
Well, that is just some of the things about me that you'll see me write about. Please, these are just my opinions and thoughts. If they happen to offend you leave and go somewhere else...

I'm too lazy to organize my layout/html so it's going to have to happen another time.
